See your coworker in the break room? Hand her one of your brochures. Bring them with you to your child’s soccer game and share with other moms. You never know where you’ll find potential customers or recruits!

I can’t tell you how excited I am that you’ve started your very own beautiful business! With Avon you’re in business for yourself, but never by yourself. I’m your Mentor and here to help, so let me tell you a little bit about me:

Selling Avon Face-to-face Tips
Tell everyone you know that you sell Avon. Talk to friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, and other acquaintances. Try leaving brochures and product samples at places where there is high traffic: offices, grocery stores, banks, salons, gyms, etc. Be sure to ask for permission first and get follow-up contact information.
Talk about your favorite Avon products. Proudly wear your Avon products daily. You can show off clothing, makeup, jewelry, fragrance, and more. When someone compliments you, it opens the door to talk about your Avon business. If you don’t want to wear any of the products, get an Avon pin. It definitely helps to have first-hand knowledge of the products from trying them yourself. If you aren’t familiar with our products yet, use your Avon eStore to learn more about each product and how customers review the product.
Talk about to customers and potential customers everywhere. Bring catalogs with you everywhere you go. If you’re not comfortable starting up a conversation with the grocery cashier, the bank teller, or the gas station attendant, simply ask if they’d like a catalog. You’d be surprised at how many say yes. And if they say no, don’t take it personally.
Make sure to ask for referrals, and follow up. People are very busy nowadays. Whether it’s work, running around with the kids, or something else keeping your potential customers distracted, it always helps to give them a reminder. The fortune is in the follow up. Ask your customers if they know of anyone who would like to be serviced by an Avon Representative.
Selling Avon Online Tips
Additional Earnings – Remember eSales are included in your product total to help you reach that $100 order mark. Use Avon’s coupon codes and special offers as a way to entice new customers to shop with you online.
Boost your Total Order Size – When calculating your campaign totals, Avon will combine face-to-face sales and online sales to determine which commission level you have reached. The more ways of reaching new customers, the better.
Your Own Online eStore – Open for sales 24/7…your website is a great tool to help build your business. Personalize Get customers in the habit of ordering online right from the start and your job will get easier and easier the longer you stick around.
#GetSocial – Social Media is a great place to network with tons of new contacts, prospective customers, and potential team members. Just like face-to-face, connect with people who you have a similar background as, a mutual friend, or perhaps someone on the same career path as you. Social Media is all about continuous activity. Always add new connections, post new photos, and update your pages often. Don’t forget to use those hashtags so your posts come up in Social Media search results.
Automated Emails – Turn on your Automated Email Program in the web office. As you add contacts to your customer address book over time, Avon will automatically send emails on your behalf. Don’t worry about the frequency, all contacts have the option of opting out of the Email Program at any time. Avon shares special offers to your online customers including free shipping codes, free gift with purchase offers, and discount options.
Placing your First Avon Order for New Reps – Here is the 3rd email I send out to new team members. On all 3 emails to my new reps, I copy their district sales manager so we can all get to know one another better especially since most of my team members are not local. You may use the district number and @avon.com for a quick way to cc their district manager. For example: my district is 5612. If I sign up an Avon Representative in our district, I will cc email@example.com.

· Avon Campaign Cycle!
With Avon , our ordering cycle is a two-week Campaign. That means you will have access to brand new products, special offers and sales EVERY TWO WEEKS! How fabulous is that?!
· Let’s Talk Timing!
To keep all of the Representative deliveries running smoothly, Avon is on a shipping system called the Representative Processing Schedule (RPS). You are on RPS (insert number) which means that you can submit an order every other (insert day of the week order is due) by midnight to qualify for the lowest possible shipping fees. I have attached a copy of your ordering schedule. Your first order for (insert first Avon campaign) is due (insert first Avon campaign due date).
Avon Tip to Remember: Our new brochures and business tools are ordered right along with your Customer orders, so skipping any Campaign will delay your receipt of the most up-to-date tools, demos and brochures.
· What’s the minimum?
In order to earn commission, your orders must total $50 each campaign. Our earning structure is based on a “The more you sell, the more you earn!” philosophy. Work it and give yourself a raise every two weeks!

Welcome New Avon Representatives Email – This is the welcome email I send to new reps on my Avon team. I send them 3 emails within the first few days of signing up. I also try to find them on Facebook to connect personally and them add them to our Facebook group for our team. The more communication with new Avon Representatives, the better. It helps to try and communicate with your new team member by their preferred way of communication. Therefore, if your new Representative prefers text then text them, if he / she prefers phone conversations then call them, etc. Try different forms of communication with your team to get the most exposure.
Here’s another leadership tip: when you email your new team member, cc their district manager so he / she is aware you are in communication. To email the district manager / district assistant, the format is (district email@example.com – for ex: firstname.lastname@example.org).

Important Information for New Avon Representatives
Avon Campaign Schedule – To find your campaign order due dates, log in to yourAvon.com – click on my account – Profile – See Calendar under Account Information next to your RPS Code.
2016 Avon Commission Chart – The percentage of commission you earn will depend on the total of all of the orders you turn in for each campaign. You can find the earnings chart on yourAvon.com – click on Earning Opportunities – Earnings Chart. You will earn a fixed 20% on any online orders.
Avon Brochures – Your starter kit will come with Avon catalogs for your first two campaigns). For the following campaigns, you will need to order brochures. They come in packs of 10. To order and see the cost of brochures, go to Order Brochures – then Avon Brochure Pricing Info – in your order cart on yourAvon.com.
Avon Sales Tax – When a customer places an order with you, it is your responsibility to also collect sales tax. You can usually find your county’s sales tax rate on the county website. Avon pays your sales tax for you with the money you turn in from customers.
How you get Paid when you Sell Avon – When a customer places an order from you, collect payment for the total amount of the items plus the order charge and sales tax. When you place your order, Avon will charge you for the cost of the products, the sales tax, and any business tools you purchase. The amount left over from what your customers paid you and what you paid Avon is your profit. YouTube video: How do you get paid selling Avon?
New Avon Representative Programs – Avon has plenty of great programs in place to help you be successful in your first few campaigns as a new Representative.
